We have not set a date as yet as we are waiting for the annual accounts to be completed and reviewed but it should be in the last third of the month.
Everyone will receive a notice advising them of the date.
However I would like to ask everyone and anyone to consider standing for the committee (or to simply volunteer to provide regular time to help out) .
The club relies on the committee bringing their expertise to the club, and this is in all forms. All extra help would be welcomed.
- If you have some mechanical engineering interest then you could be very useful in assisting with Trap Maintenance.
- If you are a builder then your talents speak for themselves.
- The present web incumbent is not particularly IT savvy and if that may be an interest then you would be warmly welcomed.
- Any accountants out there? We would very much appreciate someone putting their hand up to be treasurer.
- We want to provide a warmer welcome to new members and reduce the number that do not renew their membership, so if you would like to help with that please come forward.
I
know there is often a thought that the committee is just an ‘old boys
club’, but I can honestly say that we would welcome new interested blood
on the committee. Especially if you are prepared to roll up your sleeves! One reason for the perception of an old boys club is that they (we) end up on committee by default.
I can promise you that I and other committee members would welcome any initiatives at all.
Please do give this some thought as it is an honest plea to involve those who might not otherwise put themselves forward.
